Ravi Food Store
The grocers shop, on Wilmslow Road, ( in between Park Crescent and Dickenson Rd and opposite Claremont Rd) is run by Abdullah Bari. Abdullah’s father came over from Pakistan in the 1966 and opened the Ravi Food Store. It is named after a river near where he use to live in Pakistan. The shop before, used to be a Belgium Chocolate sweet shop that began in 1905. Now Abdullah runs the grocers shop.
At the back of the shop Amin is a butcher, he cuts and sells hahal meat, such as lamb and beef.
Abdullah has 2 young sons at school, who don’t want to be shop keepers when they leave school.
