2018/03/21 – Joanne, born and lived in Rusholme. She moved away for a while and returned to managed the Albert Inn, 5 Walmer Street, 15 years ago. The Albert is the only pub, that’s remained open along “Curry Mile”. Joanne told us that her business and other shops like “chippies, have suffered as a result of Manchester City FC moving from Maine Rd in 2003 to the Etihad Stadium.Photo: © Phil Portus 2018
